‘gone to texas’ is a huge production put on by the university of texas to get all the students (mainly freshmen) excited about the upcoming school year. the ut band, cheerleaders and a guest appearance by the intermissions gospel choir started the year off with several versions of our theme song, ”the eyes of texas”
but what made this event even cooler was that Harley Clark (pictured below), the inventor of this widely-known hand signal, came to celebrate the 53 years of raised hands at our pep rally. hook ‘em horns!
